Q: I am thinking of posting a review...but what's in it for me?
A: Glad you asked. Reviewing will give you the warm fuzzy feeling of having given well deserved props to good products and warning people away from products you have had a bad experience with.

Q: I think my review got deleted. What's up with that?
A: Real and honest reviews add value for everyone. Just saying "This product sucks" or "This *&$ rules" doesn't help much and makes it look like an attempt to manipulate results. Security Scoreboard will remove reviews from time to time that do not appear legitimate or that violate our terms of use.

Q: Are reviews edited?
A: Not usually, but sometimes we make minor edits for spelling, grammer, or clarity.

Q: How do I know a vendor review has been posted by a real customer and not by the vendor itself or one of its competitors?
A: Like any public product review site, there is no way for us to reliably determine which reviews are truly legit. But security pros are a savvy bunch and we trust their ability to consider the reviews in this context and to spot obvious attempts to game the system.

Q: What does it mean when a review has been posted by "Anonymous"?
A: Security Scoreboard manually collects reviews on paper at various security conferences and events. These reviews are filed under the name "Anonymous" in our system. If you host a conference or event for security practictioners and would like to enquire about partnering with Security Scoreboard to collect reviews, please contact us.
